Brotato is a top-down alien horde-killing roguelike game where you play as a potato. In this title, it is extremely challenging to find a decent build that you can enjoy, especially if you are playing for the first time and have not beaten the game yet. If this is the case, you can try the builds we have prepared for you so that you can understand and learn the game better and start creating your own build.

Brotato: All Unlockables And How To Get Them
This is the guide you need for all unlockables in Brotato and how to unlock them.
In Brotato, the goal is to survive and clear the aliens as fast as possible, so our survivability and damage must be high. The weapons and items chosen in the builds have a huge impact on the course of the game, so it's important to choose the right one.
Updated December 5, 2023, by Sean Murray: It's not just about having the best builds in Brotato. That's why we've given this Brotato Best Builds guide more links to other helpful Brotato topics, bro.
Lucky Slingshot Build (Easy)
In this build, you should choose the Lucky character and only get the Slingshot weapon and upgrade it as much as you can. Lucky Slingshot is a build that relies entirely on luck. Usually, luck isn't exactly a power stat, but in this build, it becomes extremely powerful.
Also, it is very fun to play because you'll find extremely rare and legendary items.
In terms of stats, Shoulders, Nose, and Reflexes should be preferred in the early game, followed by Nose, Shoulder, and Triceps in the late game as the game progresses. Get all the items you see that provide luck such as Shady Potion, Propeller Hat, and Lost Duck as early-game items.
What makes this build really shine are the Cyberball, Baby Elephant, and Ricochet items. This is because Ricochet adds +1 bounce to the stones you throw, Cyberball deals random damage to another enemy every time you kill an alien, and Baby Elephant deals damage to a random enemy every time you pick up materials.

Since your luck will be extremely high, you'll eventually find legendary items like Grind's Magical Leaf and Sifd's Relic.
Sifd's Relic almost turns Brotato into an idle game using this build, since it'll give you extra kills every time you eliminate an enemy. It'll also automatically pick up materials for every enemy killed.

Bosses remain challenges in Brotato. Find out how to fight them and win a run.
12 Shotgun Build (Easy)
In this build, the Multitasker character allows you to use 12 Shotguns. In general, the build will be based on ranged damage, range, attack speed, and, of course, survivability. The build's damage is extremely high, which makes it great at clearing enemies, but you'll still need to dodge enemies often, especially in boss fights.
Compared to many other builds, it's an easy build to play for being able to clear large groups of enemies, and thanks to the Baby with a Beard item, you can easily clear small aliens during boss fights.
If you choose optional items like Cyberball or Baby Elephant, you will be able to clear small minions much faster.

Late Game Stats | Reflexes ![]() | Shoulders ![]() | Heart ![]() |
In addition to Coffee, Gentle Alien, Gummy Berserker, Scope, and Small Magazine as early game items, look for items that provide health regeneration or base health for improved survivability.
Never skip survivability in any build, including this one, and always ensure you have a few Plant, Tree, or Mushroom items to help you survive until wave seven.
12 Stick Build (Easy)
For this build, you need to use the Multitasker character. The Stick is an extremely powerful weapon because, for every additional Stick you have, you get +4, +6, +8, and +10 (varies according to weapon level) extra damage.
It's also an extremely common and cheap weapon, so you can re-roll it extremely easily to accumulate more Sticks.

Early Game Stats | Forearms ![]() | Reflexes ![]() | Triceps ![]() | |||
Late Game Stats | Forearms ![]() | Reflexes ![]() | Heart ![]() |
If you use a few Luck-based items, you'll be able to find useful items such as Sad Tomato and Cape more easily. It is enough to keep Luck in the range of 40-50.
In this build, it is good for you to have a high attack speed, so you can clear crowded aliens much faster.

Brotato: 10 Best Characters
Let's take a look at the best characters to use when taking down waves of enemies in Brotato.

Since 12 Crossbows should be used in this build, the Multitasker character is preferred. The thing about the Crossbow is that it passes through the enemy when it hits critical damage, allowing you to stack damage across multiple enemies.
This build mainly uses attack speed and critical damage.

---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Early Game Items | Blindfold ![]() | Coffee ![]() | Sunglasses ![]() | Banner ![]() | Head Injury ![]() | Medal ![]() |
Late Game Items | Hunting Trophy ![]() | Bandana ![]() | Poisonous Tonic ![]() | Exoskeleton ![]() | Cape ![]() | Night Goggles ![]() |
Early Game Stats | Fingers ![]() | Reflexes ![]() | Eyes ![]() | |||
Late Game Stats | Fingers ![]() | Reflexes ![]() | Heart ![]() |
As you hit critical damage, the arrows you shoot will pass through more aliens, so you can clear the wave quickly and easily. You can increase your pierce amount with an item like Bandana, which will help you melt bosses extremely quickly.
For this build to work, try to find as many Crossbows as you can by re-rolling and just strive for attack speed and critical damage.
One Ghost Axe Build (Hard)
![Brotato: Best Builds (84) Brotato: Best Builds (84)](https://i0.wp.com/static1.thegamerimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/brotato-one-ghost-axe-build.jpg)
One Ghost Axe is extremely difficult to build but incredibly powerful, capable of melting even the two bosses in wave 20 in 15 seconds.
With this weapon, the more aliens you kill, the more damage stats you gain, creating a snowball effect where your damage becomes very high as you progress to the late game.
For this build, you need to select the One-Armed character, which provides an additional 200 percent attack speed and increases damage by 100 percent.

Early Game Stats | Triceps ![]() | Reflexes ![]() | Chest ![]() | |||
Late Game Stats | Triceps ![]() | Reflexes ![]() | Chest ![]() |
This build isn't very good at crowd control, but it's great at killing monsters in a single swing. You'll need a lot of attack speed increases to make this build work.
If you haven't played a build like this before, it is very important to pay attention to survivability stats such as max HP, HP regeneration, life steal, and armor.
