Game of the week channel (2024)

I guess this is a question for the Mahoning Valley posters. What channel on spectrum is the game of the week usually aired on? I know it’s from Wkbn but I can’t find it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

It is on My Ytv, channel 13 on Armstrong, channel 33-2 with an antenna, not sure of the TWC/Spectrum number sorry.

They're probably doing the Thursday Niles game live (they've done it live the last couple years), and a Friday nighter. I know they'll do the Niles-Howland Thursday game later this year live.

Everything else is friday tape delay and I don't think there's been any announcement. Probably a week-of situation looking for best matchups.

Oh, Ursuline-Mooney can be penciled in.

Actually wouldn’t be surprised if Columbiana-Western Reserve is the live Thursday game, both playoff teams last year. Heck jfk-champion was the Thursday game last year. Usually they announce the matchups on Monday of game week.

I'm pretty sure somewhere I read it was Niles-Girard this year. No clue where I saw it listed. But, Columbiana-Western Reserve would probably be the better game. But, having the live game is different than just any week on tape-delay.

It was 997 call MyYTV but now that channel is called MYNETHD so not sure. I believe last year they were on Channel 10 which is local Fox Channel owned by WKBN (WYTV Channel 33 is also owned by the same company as WKBN). It even ID's on the 10:00 news as WKBN.

Not sure what all local channels you get, some TWC/Spectrum customers especially in Trumbull County get the Cleveland stations as well which are 3, 5, 8, 19, 25, 43, et al. But on Armstrong and on the antenna it was definitely on cable channel 13 or OTA on 33-2. The only exception was the live games I think.

I just checked the website and here is what it listed for last year:
Digital over the air at 33-2

Armstrong Cable Channel 13 and 108

Comcast Cable Channel 3

Direct TV Channel 15

Spectrum Channel 373

Kind of a role reversal from last year. Last year Columbiana was replacing everyone and WR was the experienced team, this year WR is replacing a ton and Columbiana is experienced. Hope it is similar to the shootouts of 15 and 16 (62-53 and 44-37 were the final scores those years).

Nobody in their right mind wants to go to niles to watch a game unless it’s a playoff game, they do have a top 5 stadium in the valley

1 - Harding
2 - Fitch
3 - boardman
4 - Hubbard
5 - niles in my opinion
