Grab a slice of the action at one of these fantastic pizza places in Amsterdam. From luxury pizzas to simple margheritas, these top pizza spots have it all, plus homemade limoncello, cannoli and much more!

1. Faam

Faam has to be one of the most inviting pizzerias in Amsterdam, with a gorgeous rustic restaurant and food that just screams “eat me”. It’s classic, fresh Italian food cooked to perfection. You can expect delicious antipasti like carpaccio and burrata, quality wine and tasty pizza which is, of course, cooked in a proper pizza oven. For dessert, you can choose from a selection of irresistible dishes or finish with a scroppino, which is lemon sorbet mixed with vodka and prosecco. Perfect for a summer day.

2.De Pizzabakkers Willemsparkweg

At De Pizzabakkers, you are guaranteed a warm, welcoming atmosphere and service with a smile. There are twelve pizzas on the menu and every month they add a delicious special, too. At lunchtime, you can also enjoy fluffy, crispy ciabatta and the range of tasty proseccos is unbeatable. Just ask your waiter and they will help you choose the perfect pairing for your meal. You can order anything from the menu to take away, which is fantastic if you want to enjoy a slice outside in the sun.

3. nNea

NNea has been named the top pizzeria in the Netherlands for four consecutive years and it’s been featured in 50 Top Pizza, the guide to the best pizzerias in the world as no. 9 Europe and no. 48 the world. So, you can be sure to grab a quality slice at this top pizza spot. They prove the dough for more than 50 hours, which is some serious dedication to pizza! In particular, the Orange n’Blue pizza, which is made from blue buffalo cheese, fior di latte, roasted pumpkin and provola di Agerola, plus a good sprinkling of hazelnuts.

4. Fuoco Vivo

Sourdough pizza is undeniably delicious, and at Fuoco Vivo you can enjoy some of the best slices in the country. The fermented yeast makes the pizzas extra special, with incredible texture and that lovely sourdough taste. All of the pizza are baked in a wood-burning pizza oven, which makes them taste even better and you can follow with a range of desserts but the real standout is the pannacotta. Of course, this should then be followed by some homemade limoncello.

5. Fiko

Fiko is definitely one of the fanciest pizza spots in Amsterdam. It’s a place to indulge and really treat yourself to a tipple and an outstanding, high-quality pizza. There are no soggy slices, just crisp bases, fluffy crusts and rich sauces. Despite all of this, their pizzas aren’t actually very expensive. However, there is one very outlandish, luxury pizza costing €180!

It had better be made of gold, I hear you say. Well, it basically is. It’s topped with 23k white truffle flavoured gold nuggets and gold leaves, plus a host of other, very expensive ingredients. When I first read about this pizza I couldn’t believe my own eyes. But hey, if you’ve got the dough (pardon the pun) and you wanna spend it on pizza then this is the place to visit! They do, however, also serve incredible fresh fish from Italy too, and the pizzas can be made with vegan or lactose-free cheese.

6. La Perla

La Perla is a no-fuss pizza restaurant in Jordaan’s ‘Little Italy’. The bright, airy restaurant is the perfect place to grab a bite when the sun is shining, serving traditional Italian pizza, which you can watch cook in the oven. You can take the pizzas to go, but they don’t take orders over the phone. Instead, you can just turn up, order and your pizza will be ready in no time. You’ll find all the classics, plus a few specials, all of which are worth trying. There’s also outdoor seating and if the weather permits, it’s always great to sit outside in Jordaan!

📍Tweede Tuindwarsstraat 53, 1015 RZ

7. Il Sogno

If you love Italian food, you’re going to adore Il Sogno. Not only is this place one of the best pizzerias in Amsterdam, but it’s also an Italian deli. So, if you taste something you like or just fancy a bit of nduja, you can pick it up on your way out. There are two locations in Amsterdam and both are fantastic. You can order a huge range of delicious pizzas, including a vegan pizza and it’s definitely worth stopping by for one of their paninis too! For dessert, there are plenty of choices but for me, the cannoli‘s gunna win every time.

📍Koningsstraat 19, 1011 ET & IJburglaan 905, 1087 EN

8. Yam Yam

Yam Yam is another no-fuss pizza spot. It’s bright and airy but has a cosy feel once the sun sets. There you’ll find all the classics, including a couple of tasty vegan pizzas. It gets very busy, especially on weekends. So, make sure to book if you want to sample Yam Yam’s slices. However, it’s a great place to hang out with friends and well worth making a reservation. The outdoor space is great for warm and sunny days!

📍Frederik Hendrikstraat 88-90, 1052 HZ

9. Volare

This super cute pizza spot has one of those atmospheres that just keeps you coming back for more. Obviously, the pizza is fantastic or we wouldn’t have mentioned Volare but the co*cktail menu is also unbelievable. There’s even homemade limoncello and mombaruzzo so it’s not just the food that’s great – this place is the whole package. The signature pizza is a rather spicy affair, with roasted yellow paprika cream, Nduja Calabrese si Spilinga, stracciatella and caramelized red onion. You’ve gotta love a bit of Nduja!

📍Admiraal de Ruijterweg 79, 1057 JZ

10. Lou Lou Pizza Bar

Lou Lou Pizza Bar is dedicated to making healthy pizzas with a mixture of flours and fresh, delicious toppings. In fact, this top pizza spot has won awards, including ‘Healthiest Pizza Spot’ in 2015, awarded by Koninklijke Horeca Netherlands. Their tartufo bianco has a particularly rich, truffle sauce. Equally rich, however, is the tomato sauce used for pizzas like the margherita and Napolitano. Whichever you choose, you’re going to enjoy every bite. Plus, Lou Lou Pizza Bar offers gluten-free dough that tastes just as good as the other.

You can even book yourself a pizza workshop where you can learn from the experts how to make the tastiest pizza. To book or enquire, just send an email to info@louloupizzabar.nl and the friendly staff will get back to you.
